Classic Horn Bands
Tower of Power - To me, the ultimate of all horn bands. Their horn section has played with everybody. Check out their links page for even more fantastic horn bands.

Average White Band (Official Site) - Yeouch!!! The Scottish funk band that gave you classics like Pick Up the Pieces and Cut the Cake. The most famous two-sax sound since Zoot and Al!
Neo-Swing & Similar Groups
The Brian Setzer Orchestra - Maybe the greatest of all these groups. A full-scale big band that will knock your socks off. Got good airplay for their single Jump, Jive & Wail.
Squirrel Nut-Zippers - Eclectic group from Chapel Hill, NC with more of a 1920's sound. The 1997 hit single Hell has made them the most talked-about of these groups. Some of the horns used on that recording are now for sale, thanks to an endorsement deal with Selmer. Are you in the market?
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy - Red hot swing band that appeared in the movie Swingers and at the 1999 Super Bowl. My personal favorite.
The Royal Crown Revue - Another great swing band featuring more cover tunes, and lots of hidden references in the music. These guys are senior movers and shakers in the swing movement, and their 'gangster' image gives them an interesting flavor. Their fine three-piece horn section also endorses Selmer.
The Cherry Poppin' Daddies - Best known of the swing bands thanks to its hit single Zoot Suit Riot. Similar horn section to Royal Crown Revue, and also with a Selmer endorsement deal. Posters available from Selmer, I'm told.
Indigo Swing - I haven't heard the group, only the name. Check it out for yourself.

Other Groups You Must Check Out!
Doc Scantlin & his Imperial Palms Orchestra - Based in DC, this group does authentic 20's, 30's & 40's floor shows. I've shared venues with these guys a couple of times and am always deeply impressed.
