Slurs & Ties
Slurs and Ties are pretty straightforward and I wouldn't anticipate much difficulty. The most important thing to watch for is how the beats are written in beneath each item. Since a Tie extends the value of a note across a bar line, the beats are joined by dashes. Since a slur involves separate notes that are simply not tongued, there is no need to join the beats by dashes.
Common Snag #1 - Confusing slurs and ties.
Common Snag #2 - Writing in the rhythms for Lesson 20. Remember to join beats with dashes when their notes are joined by a tie.
